Artful Color Giclée

Giclee (pronounced jheeCLAY from the French meaning to squirt) is a term used for fine art archival inkjet printing on specialty papers or canvas. Giclee Prints allow you to preserve, share, or sell multiple copies of your original masterpiece, created artwork, or photographs. 

Giclee Printing is an involved process, but at Artful Color, our prints meet rigorous print permanence standards and undergo continuous testing under the new I* standard. There is no better method available to produce a top quality fine art print. We've also tested every major canvas and paper brand on the market to ensure we only offer media that provides the best end result. These high quality substrates combined with our pigmented archival inks and advanced color technology give our clients an exacting reproduction that will last far into the next century.

If you do not have a large digital file of your artwork, we can provide the highest resolution scan available (see our Digital Capture page). We can also make any necessary improvements to your file at no extra charge since the quality of the final result is directly related to the quality of your digital file. We want you to be happy with our services and are more than willing to work with you to ensure the best giclee results possible.

Premium Line

Artful Color's Premium Line provides giclees on the highest quality papers and canvases found on the market today. Paper types include: • sugar cane • bamboo • textured & smooth 100% cotton fine art paper including a 500 gsm 100% cotton. In addition, these paper prints are sprayed with a protective coating to maximize their life.

Our process uses archival inks on our 100% cotton canvas and include a varnish in your choice of matte, luster, or gloss. Canvas pricing includes your choice of edging wrap. Stretching (3/4" or 1 1/2" bars) is also available upon request.

Décor Line

Provide your customers & designers low cost giclee options at festivals, online stores, and home decor without compromising quality. Much testing and research has gone into creating a stunning line of prints that offer fantastic tonal/color range and sharpness at heavily discounted prices. These products are a big hit with galleries, festival and online artists who demand the same archival print standards as our premium products, but require volume production. The major difference is the weight of the substrate. We're confident when we say that no other studio can offer this level of customized quality at such a great price.
