Artful Color is a company born from years of pursuing accurate color reproduction from digital to the printed medium. We have been on the leading edge of color management since the introduction of Apple’s ColorSync in 1995. The owner worked for both Apple and Kodak as a color and digital print expert and has introduced and trained many about color management, from Fortune 500 companies like Time, AP News, People Magazine and the Smithsonian, to smaller ad agencies, and the local photographer.

Artful Color produces exacting, museum grade, giclée reproductions of your artwork. Giclée (pronounced jheeCLAY from the French meaning to squirt) is a term used for fine art archival inkjet printing on specialty papers or canvas. Our prints meet rigorous print permanence standards and undergo continuous testing under the new I* standard. There is no better method available to produce a top quality fine art print. We’ve also tested every major canvas and paper brand on the market to ensure we only offer media that provides the best end result. These high quality substrates combined with our pigmented archival inks and advanced color technology give our clients an exacting reproduction that will last far into the next century.

We have been working with a leading ink and media scientist for many years to develop a new leading-edge giclée product. The first generation ink is now in production. We hope to develop a line of custom canvases and papers over the next year. With this new capability Artful Color offers a product not found anywhere else.

If you do not have a digital file of your artwork, we can provide the highest resolution scan available (see our Digital Capture page). We can also make any necessary improvements to your file at no extra charge since the quality of the final result is directly related to the quality of your digital file.
